Trends indicate the United States is poised to become the largest public-private partnership (P3) market in the world for infrastructure projects. A series of political and economic factors have eroded support for large scale infrastructure projects to be funded solely by taxpayer money. Instead, states are using a more innovative form of infrastructure delivery: public-private partnerships.
